Caught In a Negative Thought Spiral?!

We all get caught in those negative thought spirals, when it feels like everything's terrible, all the bad things are happening, and we'll never find a way out.

It's PAINFUL to marinate in those thoughts and EXHAUSTING to claw your way out.

The key is to get off the train before you ride it all. the. way. down.

Check out this video: How the 3 P's of Positive Psychology can help you stop the swirl, expand your perspective, and see options you simply couldn't see before.

Stop Your Negative Thought Spiral Before It Overtakes You

Contrary to a lot of anodyne social media sunshine-and-rainbows posts, it's not about telling yourself you SHOULD FEEL GOOD when you ACTUALLY FEEL BAD (that's toxic positivity, a surefire way to make yourself feel worse.)

And it's not about trying to click out of the feelings through distraction or DOING MORE (that's denial, and a great way to not get to the root of a pattern that is poised to resurface at the most inconvenient time).

Enter the 3 P's of positive psychology: personalization, pervasiveness, and permanence.

They're one of my favorite tools. I use them all the time in my own life.

As I share in the video, the 3 P's will help you honor your feelings--especially the ones that don't feel great--so that you can truly process them and releace their energetic hold.

The most immediate benefit? PEACE.

It's a whole lot easier to make powerful moves from a place of peace than the pit of despair.

We all get caught in those negative thought spirals. These tools can give you some much-needed perspective. Check out the video, and let me know in the comments what shifted for you.
